Cayuga County Fair Speedway Hosts the Doctor’s Driving Clinic April 6th-7th

Weedsport, NY – This year Cayuga County Fair Speedway is teaming up with the “Doctor” Danny Johnson to bring driver’s the inside look to everything you needed to know about racing!

From Chassis set-ups to the ins and outs of driving essentials, the two-day clinic Tuesday, April 6th thru Wednesday, April 7th welcomes driver’s from every level of experience the opportunity to get one on one coaching from the “Doctor” Danny Johnson.

With a career spanning over 30 years, Danny Johnson is notably one of the best dirt track drivers in history to date with over 297 Big Block Modified and 144 Small Block Modified feature wins, ranking him 4th on the all-time wins list in each division. Spanning over four decades, Johnson has not only amassed a staggering 22 open-wheel track point titles during his career but the Phelps, NY native has also secured 4 Mr. DIRTcar Series titles, winning his first in 1989 and his most recent in 1999.

Tuesday will be a chance to scale and set-up your car in the Cayuga Count Fair Building accompanied by Danny Johnson and Crew Chief Mike Payne. Once you’ve scaled your car and received a few insider tips from Johnson and Payne, your car will be more than ready to hit the track!

DIRTCAR NORTHEAST CENTRAL NEW YORK TRACKS OFFER SEASON TICKET PACKAGES, LOWER PRICES ON WEEKLY PROGRAMS

Weedsport, New York- With the 2010 season less than two months away, the Central New York DIRTcar Northeast racing scene is beginning to buzz with excitement as it's three member tracks, Canandaigua Speedway, Rolling Wheels Raceway and the Cayuga County Fair Speedway are hosting new and exciting schedules.

DIRTcar is also taking the iniative as they have lowered the cost on many of their admission prices for the 2010 season.

"I know that the economy is tough for our race fans and we'd like to give them a break when they come through our gates this season," said General Manager Cory Reed. "We have a great product to offer and with the price changes we've made for the 2010 season, it allows the fans to come to our race tracks at an affordable price."

Regular weekly prices for adults will continue to be $12 while seniors 65 years of age and older will also continue to be $10. The student pricing has changed dramically as 10 thru 18 years of age will be set at $5. Children 9 and under will be free of charge. An additional cost will be added for special events.

A Heavy Dose of Modifieds in 2010: Canandaigua Speedway Release Schedule!

Weedsport, NY – It’s a NO NON-SENSE approach to racing in 2010 at Canandaigua Speedway as General Manager Cory Reed and his esteemed staff ramp up the action at the legendary track bringing fans a steady diet of Big Block Modified racing week in and week out!

Defending track champion and 2009 Rite Aid 200 presented by Ferris & Snapper Mowers champion Matt Sheppard will lead the brigade of  Modifieds into twenty-ten with the intent of bringing the Land of Legends track back to its Modified glory as they encounter 19 weeks of full throttle, open wheel action! Canandaigua Speedway kicks it into drive on April 24th at 7pm (gates open at 5pm) for its 47th edition of racing with the weekly ensemble headlined by the Big Block Modifieds, DIRTcar Sportsman, DIRTcar Stock Cars and Pure Stocks.

In continued effort to beef up Modified racing at Canandaigua, three 50-lap, $3,000-to-win features have been added to the schedule for Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July Weekend, and Labor Day Weekend. Drivers will also have a chance to win a $500 gift certificate to Motorsports Safety Solutions thanks to Larry Bishop and our friends at Dig Safely New York. The $500 bonus will be given at random by draw to the driver who finishes the race in the selected spot 1-15. More laps with more money on the line, just another reason you don’t want to miss all the action!

The two famed tracks will be taking over Club 86 in Geneva, NY for a pre-season kick off party like never before as we not only distribute each track’s 2009 point fund but take a glimpse into what’s to come in the 2010 season!

Cocktail hour will begin promptly at 6pm, followed by Dinner and Awards and Entertainment at 7pm. Club 86 is located on Genesee Street in Geneva, NY.
