This Saturday, August 23rd it’s Autogenesis/Lumberyard Grille “Fan Photo and Driver Autograph Night” at the Land of Legends.  Come to the Speedway to take pictures and get autographs from the best in DIRTcar Racing.   

The DIRTcar Big-Block Modifieds, Sportsman Modifieds, Street Stocks, PureStox, and the WNYR 98.5 Crazy Chicks-n-Cars will also be in action with racing starting at 7pm.

The Pit area will open at 3:30pm Saturday, with the grandstand gates swinging open at 5pm.  Practice will begin at 5:35pm in order to allow time for the driver autograph session on the Speedway.

Tickets for all regular season events will be made available at the gate.  Adult general admission is set at $12, $10 for Seniors (Age 65+), $5 for children (Ages 10-14), and those under the age of 9 are FREE. 

Pit admission for DIRTcar Northeast members will be $20, while non-members will be admitted for $25.

The Big-Block Modifieds were not in action this past Saturday, but the Championship standings continue to be close.  Steve Paine is still out front, but after two consecutive top five finishes Matt Sheppard has now moved back into the second position just 18-point behind.  Gary Tomkins has fallen back to third ahead of Charlie Donk and Justin Haers.

The Sportsman Modifieds did see action last Saturday with Nick Guererri grabbing his second win of 2008.  Todd Henderson crossed the line in the runner-up position.  Kevin Ridley now holds a 48-point lead on Dan Wiesner in the standings as Steve Gray, Henderson, and Anthony Rizzardo fill the top five.

Guererri later failed post race inspection and was fined only his winnings from the evening.  The no. 25g team still received the event win, and full points from the night's racing.

Andy Fisk and Eric Chapman took victories in the DIRTcar Street Stock and PureStox divisions.  Fisk now leads the way in the Street Stocks, while Bryan Faulkner continues to lead a hard charging Marc Minutolo in the PureStox.
